North Wales Police is looking for exceptional leaders with passion, energy and drive to join the team. Applications are invited from substantive Superintendents as part of the promotions process to Chief Superintendent. You must be ambitious and possess a genuine desire to be a service lead. The successful candidates will focus on keeping people safe, drive change across the police service, inspire partners and play a leading role in ensuring communities flourish, making North Wales the safest place in the UK.

As a role model for the values of North Wales, you will contribute to our continuing programme of transformation and demonstrate exemplary leadership underpinned by behaviours aligned to our values and Code of Ethics.

The role of Chief Superintendent is demanding and high profile. You will have a clear people focus ethos with a history of delivering innovation and problem solving at a strategic level; coupled with a willingness to challenge and to try new things, both internally and externally of the organisation. Excellent communication and partnership skills will be crucial to delivering our vision.

Here at North Wales Police we actively encourage all our staff and officers to use Welsh in their daily lives at work. Therefore we ask that you demonstrate basic skills in the Welsh Language (L2 competency.) However, we do offer support and guidance to help you achieve the required level.
