Assistant Solicitor

We are seeking two knowledgeable and skilled solicitors, to join the South Wales and Gwent Police Joint Legal Service (one to be appointed by each force). These are both permanent appointments and the successful candidates must be able to take on existing workload, undertake advocacy in the Magistrates and County Courts and undergo vetting to SC level. They will need to work from location(s) in the area for which South Wales Police and Gwent Police have responsibility.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017 you must have completed 2 years’ tenured service before applying for any other roles.

If you are currently involved in a PSD Investigation then you will not be eligible to apply for this role.
