Technical Development Officer, Operational Systems, Digital Services Division  

The Digital Services Division (DSD) serves both Gwent Police and South Wales Police and is responsible for improving our services through the application of technology.

The post holder will work within the Operational Systems Team of Digital Services and will be responsible for development and maintenance of current and future operational policing systems such as Niche RMS, Command and Control & Control Room Systems,  Law Enforcement Database, Police National Database, Digital Evidence Management systems. 

You will be required to work with internal and external partners, project and business leads to develop and implement operational policing systems, lead on technical requirements and promote best practice, focussing on meeting business and customer requirements in accordance with legislative, technical and corporate guidance ensuring an efficient and effective service to our communities.

The successful candidate will, on occasion, be required to travel around the UK to attend various user groups and workshops.

This post is suitable for job share / part time working.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
