JOB TITLE: Finance & Grants Support Officer

GRADE: Scale 5/6 (£23,817 - £28,725)

BASED AT: Commissioner’s Team

HOURS: 37

We are seeking a Grants & Finance Support Officer to provide excellent support to the Commissioner’s Chief Finance Officer’s Team. This is a full-time permanent post.

The Finance and Grants Support Officer will report to the Finance and Commissioning Manager and the Commissioning, Grants and Funding Officer in the development of the finance and grants function within the Commissioner’s team.

The role will include financial reporting, budget monitoring and grants management, also undertaking financial administration tasks such as invoice processing.  You will also take responsibility for the support of the Joint Audit Committee and Estates Management Board.  This will include co-ordinating and taking minutes of meetings   Therefore you will need to be organised, flexible in your approach and a confident communicator.  

You will be representing the Commissioner’s Team, dealing with a wide range of colleagues and partner organisations on a daily basis, and will need to do so in a positive and professional way at all times.

This is a varied role which will include dealing with financial reporting, financial transactions, contracts and records. The successful candidate will be computer literate across the suite of Microsoft applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word

The ability to speak Welsh is an advantage but is not considered essential for this post.
