Are you keen to give something back to the local community? Could you see yourself defusing the fear of crime, keeping people safe from harm and increasing community trust and confidence in Wrexham? If yes, a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) could be the ideal role for you!

PCSO’s are crucial to the success of our approach to neighbourhood policing and are a vital link between the local communities we serve and police. This rewarding career offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in those communities and join a unique profession where you can really make a difference. It is also the ideal stepping stone into a career with North Wales Police, with career opportunities such as a frontline officer, PCSI within various units and services across the force, and Police Staff, whilst gaining that all important experience and also helping the local community.

North Wales is one of the safest places to live in the United Kingdom. As a high performing organisation North Wales Police constantly seeks to improve the service provided to our diverse communities, and you could be part of this energetic and ever-improving force.

North Wales is a culturally diverse area and to ensure that our service is fully representative of the communities we serve we welcome applications from all underrepresented groups, including applicants with languages such as Polish, Romanian, Lithuanian and Portuguese.

Start date for this intake is 14th October 2019, therefore please make note of the below important dates in the recruitment process:
• Interviews to take place 22nd and 23rd July 2019
• If successful at interview, medical reviews and fitness tests will take place on one of the three dates- 6th August, 13th August 2019, or 20th August 2019.

Here at North Wales Police we actively encourage all our staff and officers to use Welsh in their daily lives at work. Therefore we ask all new recruits to demonstrate basic skills in spoken Welsh (North Wales Police Level 2 competency) if they do not already speak Welsh. However, we do offer support and guidance to help you achieve the required level.
