The Forensic Collision Investigation Network (FCIN) is a formal collaboration hosted by North Wales Police for delivery across the 43 Police Forces in England and Wales.  The FCIN is responsible for defining the standards for Forensic Collision Investigators and ensuring compliance to regulatory standards.  The FCINs objective is to deliver a professional, impartial and accredited Forensic Collision Investigator Service, whilst keeping pace with advancements in science and technology. 

We have an new exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager within the team to lead the successful delivery of the programme and ensure that all workstreams/projects within the programme are managed and resourced effectively.

For this role, you must have proven experience of managing multiple projects using recognised programme and project methodology which should include knowledge of process mapping, service modelling, dependencies and critical path assessment/analysis, scheduling and project lifecycles, identification or risk and issues.  In addition, good knowledge and experience of change management methodology, the ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment, and managing competing priorities are must. 

The ability to motivate and create a ‘one team’ approach is essential as the successful applicant will be responsible for managing the pace of work and delivery of projects over multiple years within a complex scientific discipline.

If successful, you will be required to provide high quality progress reports and to deliver regular presentations at Board level, and to all relevant stakeholders, therefore you need to be an effective communicator at all levels and able to adapt your style and presentations according to the audience.

Ideally, we need someone who has experience of working within a Forensic Science programme or has detailed knowledge of the requirements of ISO 17020 accreditation.

North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation, however for this role there is no requirement to have Welsh language on appointment.
