Future Vacancy Opportunities

North Wales Police
Police Officer Future Vacancies
Local Policing Services

Do you have, or are you in your final year of the Professional Policing Degree?

If so, we are offering an exciting opportunity for you to register your interest in becoming a Police Officer in readiness for our next pre-join opening window in May 2022. This opportunity is for individuals who have already graduated with a professional policing degree or those who are due to graduate in 2022.

Following your registration, you’ll be invited to a familiarisation session where you’ll gain an insight into the role of a Police Officer, learn more about the support available from our Workforce Representation Team and hear about our recruitment process. You’ll also hear about the training programme.

This will also be a chance for you to ask any questions about the role, the recruitment process or about North Wales Police.

We hope the event will enable you to make an informed decision on if the role of a Police Officer is for you and ‘if you can be the difference you want to be’

Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t graduate until next year, can I register?

No, we would recommend waiting until an opening window becomes available within your third year of studies.

I am not a Special can I register?

Absolutely, registrations are accepted from anyone with or studying for the degree.

I don’t live in North Wales, can I register?

Yes of course, if you were successful, you’d need to consider the travelling distance to your allocated station. North Wales is a beautiful place to live and work.

What if I can’t make the familiarisation sessions?

We’ve tried to offer the times in advance so people can plan to attend. Attendance is important as it helps you get an understanding of the role and recruitment process, so you are well prepared for when the application window opens. If for any reason you cannot attend the familiarisation session, you will still receive the link to the application form.
