An excellent opportunity has become available within our Facilities and Logistics Department for a Permanent Part time Reception/ Post & Administration Officer.

Responsible to the Support Services Supervisor the role of Reception/ Post & Administration officer will provide a professional reception service to occupants and visitors at Force Headquarters signing visitors in issuing passes where needed and contacting relevant departments to notify them when visitors arrive. You will assist members of the general public with enquiries and guide them to the relevant departments where necessary. Duties will include; the monitoring and distribution of small parcels and postal items, ensuring the reach their correct destination; maintaining diaries for room bookings; monitoring the use of rooms and consulting with staff to understand and organise requirements and equipment needed for meetings.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated with excellent organisational and communication skills. The successful candidate should have the ability to work on their own initiative or work as part of a team.

What will I need to be considered for the for the Reception/ Post & Administration officer?

  • NVQ level 2, or equivalent level of qualification, in an Administration related subject, or an equivalent amount of relevant proven experience.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of IT, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with situations using own initiative.
  • Good organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment with flexibility.

North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 4 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you are able to understand and deal with people in everyday spoken Welsh in most situations but you may turn to English when dealing with complex situations or terminology.
