We have an excellent opportunity here at North Wales Police for a Technology Product Manager, Microsoft on a fulltime permanent basis with the flexibility of hybrid working both from home and the office.

Reporting to and working closely with the Head of Applications as the Technology Product Manager you will plan and oversee the development and roadmap of Microsoft products throughout North Wales Police. Monitoring the market and technology trends to use proactively in identifying and resolving any blockers with the aim to achieve business objectives for the product. You will manage investment decision making for the product ensuring that financial costs are met. Working closely with stakeholders leading towards optimal solutions to help with the resource constraints and prioritisation in a time sensitive manner with full transparency to the wider IT Technology Teams.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic with excellent technology knowledge who can plan and manage their time effectively working both independently and within a team.

What do I need for the Technology Product Manager, Microsoft?

  • Educated to degree level, or hold an equivalent relevant professional qualification
  • 5+ years of product management or related experience
  • A considerable understanding of the Microsoft products, with focus on M365, Power Platform, Purview, Endpoint Manager
  • Experience with ITIL is desirable but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including end-user orientation and ability to manage expectations
  • Experience working with all key departments (security, compliance, finance, legal and procurement)
  • Knowledge of IT concepts and systems
  • Experience of working with multi-site IT or application support teams.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, and execute with limited information and ambiguity.

 North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 2 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you’re able to give and ask for personal details and basic information; to make simple requests and say a few phrases about yourself in Welsh.
