An exciting opportunity has arisen to support Crime Services in the role of Borders Regional Liaison Officer.

Although your base will be Holyhead Port, this is a hybrid role with regular travel across Wales and the UK is a requirement including regular travel to the North West to the Causeway Multi Agency Hub.

What does the role entail?

The role will support the building and maintaining of effective business relationships between the Causeway Multi-Agency Hub and the regional border policing infrastructure. This Liaison post will cover Welsh Border operations and other activities as required by the Multi Agency Hub management, which includes liaison with: carriers, port operators and their staff, partner organisations, border agencies and other portal stakeholders.

North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 2 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you’re able to give and ask for personal details and basic information; to make simple requests and say a few phrases about yourself in Welsh. Within your first 12 months service you will be required to reach Level 3 Spoken Welsh language skills. You can find out more by visiting our Welsh Language Resources Page
