WHAT IS A YOUNG AMBASSADOR?
The role of the Young Ambassador is to give a voice to a diverse range of young people across North Wales by helping them to get their views heard within policing and will create a platform for young people to delve down into strategic planning. Through peer-to-peer collaboration, Young Ambassadors will be able to express themselves freely and speak on behalf of other young people in their community.
WHO CAN JOIN?
We are looking for participants aged 16-24 years who are currently residing in North Wales.Young people are sometimes portrayed in a negative light in the media, we are therefore keen to hear from people who are passionate and driven to really make a change for young people across North Wales, who will be committed to the project and willing to do all the activities involved. We are also very keen to ensure that the Young Ambassador Programme is made up of a diverse group of young people reflecting the make-up of the local population, including those who have direct experience of the police and justice system.
Previous police contact or conviction is not a barrier to application - This role is not subject to police vetting / DBS check.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT ONCE I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION?
You will receive an email to confirm that we have received your application.
Applications will then be reviewed, and shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend an informal discussion about the role.
All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application.
