This is an outstanding opportunity to join North Wales Police as a Survey and Quality Assurance Officer. You’ll be joining on a temporary contract, working full time hours within an organisation that will truly support your success in the workplace.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering in-house victim surveys including victims of domestic abuse and modern day slavery, ensuring all safeguarding processes are fit for purpose and effectively followed.

 

What do some duties of the Survey and Quality Assurance Officer role entail?

  • Develop and maintain an in-house survey function including all necessary processes and procedures and line management of survey interview staff.
  • Develop surveys and consult with Service Leads and Business Intelligence to ensure the surveys being undertaken:
    • Provide the information required to improve services for victims
    • Meet the requirements of Home Office guidance
    • Meet standard levels of quality in survey design to avoid bias
    • Are user friendly for victims to complete
  • Develop and maintain safeguarding processes, in consultation with Service Leads and Business Intelligence, to be used before contacting victims that will:
    • Meet the needs of the Force to safeguard victims
    • Take consideration of national best practice
    • Provide reasons for exclusion from the sample
    • Ensure that a wide range of victims are contactable
  • Undertake safeguarding checks of the whole victim sample following all processes and documenting all decisions made in relation to exclusions.
  • To recognise and bring to notice any deficiency in Force procedures and performance in relation to the surveys.
  • Assist in the maintenance and review of policies, procedures, codes of practice, action plans and other relevant documentation making recommendations where appropriate.

 

What will I need to be considered for the Survey and Quality Assurance Officer role?

  • HNC/D or equivalent qualification in a business related area, or an equivalent amount of proven relevant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills to be able to:
    • relate confidently to staff at all levels of the Organisation
    • be able to use these skills to ensure these staff complete their assigned actions
    • work on own initiative and as part of a team
    • ascertain/collect information and convey into a comprehensive, easily understood format
  • Good IT skills including data handling.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes.
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst ensuring accuracy and attention to detail is essential. An inquisitive, investigative mind would be beneficial.
