REGIONAL TECHNICAL MANAGER – North West Region – covering Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and North Wales. 

 

North Wales Police will be the Host Force.

 

From these interviews we will be creating a succession list for any subsequent Regional Technical Manager roles elsewhere within the Network (England and Wales) that may arise over the next 6 months

 

This post is open to external applicants, existing Police Staff or Police Sergeants. Priority will be given to secondment of existing Police employees with the other options considered on a case by case basis.

 

Direct contracts will be open ended, and secondments will be reviewed at the end of March 2023.

 

Interviews to be held on 23rd February 2021 on-line via Microsoft Teams.

 

Applications from Police Officers at the rank of Constable may be considered but support MUST be secured from the respective Home Force (prior to application) for progression to the rank of Sergeant over a specified period.

 

Applications MUST be supported by  the NPCC in the Home Force for secondments to proceed.

 

Salary £41,718 – £44,928 Police Staff or Sergeant Pay Scales

 

Hours – 37 per week for Police Staff and 40 per week police officers

 

North Wales Police is proud to be the Host Force for the Forensic Collision Investigation Network (FCIN) which will deliver a professional, impartial and accredited service across England and Wales.

 

The role of the Forensic Collision Investigation Network (FCIN) Regional Technical Manager (RTM), is to engage at functional level with forces, ensuring service delivery is maintained and the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS) is implemented and upheld.

 

The post holder will form part of the FCIN team, responsible for developing and strengthening the network; they will support the FCIN Regional Manager. Initially, as part of the Transition Team, they will lead forces through the stages of transition, to achieve accredited member status in to ’business as usual’.

 

Post transition, the post-holder will also implement and maintain quality and standards, ISO compliance and performance of forces’ Forensic Collision Investigation resources; relevant to the established service level agreement and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

 

The post will be home based, and there will be a requirement to travel throughout England and Wales including regular visits to North Wales.
