An opportunity has arisen  for a  E-Recruitment Systems Officer for a full time permanent contract to work in collaboration across the four police forces in Wales in developing the shared recruitment applicant tracking system, the successful candidate will be lead support for South Wales and Gwent so location does not have to be specifically North Wales based.  In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies and providing technical application solutions for the continued development and administration of the platform as well as promoting the police forces as an innovator in the use of technology-driven recruitment methods for agile practices such as virtual and social recruiting.

To be successfully considered for this E-Recruitment Systems Officer role, you’ll need a HND or degree in computing, or a related qualification as well as experience of working with e-recruitment and HR platforms. 

Here are some of the accountabilities of the E-Recruitment Systems Officer role:

  • Responsible for providing advice and guidance to stakeholders across multiple geographical locations on related areas of work following standard procedures.
  • Testing of new business process changes including inspecting and reviewing the use of the system.
  • Providing a helpdesk facility ensuring customer queries are appropriately logged and managed.
  • The preparation and presentation of reports as directed by the E-Recruitment Systems Manager.
  • Assisting in the development of operating training guides and user policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing the consistency of the candidate journeys, ensuring feedback is sought across all stages of recruitment & selection and stakeholder services.
  • To assist in the overall ongoing development and evolvement of the E-Recruitment platform.

The experience you’ll need for the E-Recruitment Systems Officer role:

  • Educated to HND/Degree level in computing or a related qualification, or have proven relevant experience.
  • You’ll need a good knowledge of MS Office tools, E-recruitment and / or HR platforms.
  • Demonstrate the ability to collect, compile and process and analyse statistical data or other information as requested.
  • The ability to work under pressure in meeting the needs of stakeholders and the demands of multiple work streams and deadlines.
  • Building effective relationships with multi geographical stakeholders, recruitment and HR teams.

This means that you can understand and pronounce Welsh place names and an ability to understand and use simple everyday phrases.  During your probation period we’ll fully support you in achieving Level 3 skills.  Anyone transferring from another police force can transfer with their current level of Welsh and we’ll support you in developing these skills. North Wales Police are a bilingual organisation and for this role, you’ll need to demonstrate Level 2 Spoken Welsh skills, which means you’re able to give and ask for personal details and basic information; to make simple requests and say a few phrases about yourself in Welsh.
