Volunteer Police Cadet Leader

Do you have what it takes to inspire, coach and support young people? Become a Volunteer Assistant Cadet Leader with Dyfed-Powys Police.

The aims of the Volunteer Police Cadets are -

  • to promote a practical understand of policing amongst all young people
  • to encourage the spirit of adventure and good citizenship
  • to support local policing priorities through volunteering and give young people the chance to be heard
  • to inspire young people to participate positively in their communities

As an Assistant Cadet Leader your duties will include helping to deliver the training programme at the scheduled weekly evening meetings, supporting our young volunteers to achieve their goals, as well as helping to develop their skills and encouraging them to become good citizens within their own communities. The Assistant Cadet Leader full role profile is below.

We have a number of opportunities for Volunteer Assistant Cadet Leaders across the force area within our 7 cadet units at Newtown, Brecon, Ammanford, Llanelli, Pembroke, Cardigan and Carmarthen.
