If successful you will be joining the busiest force in Wales and one of the best performing forces in the UK. Covering 10% of the Welsh landmass, the force is home to 42% of the population of Wales (1.3 million residents). South Wales is a diverse region, boasting urban, rural and coastal areas and featuring the two largest cities in Wales – Swansea and the capital city, Cardiff. Serving 63 of the 100 most deprived communities in Wales the force accounts for 49% of recorded crime in the principality. South Wales Police plays a key role in the South Wales economy, regularly supporting major sporting and cultural events.

With the engagement of almost 3000 police officers and over 2200 police staff, the force has made great strides in delivering its vision – to be the best at understanding and responding to our communities’ needs.

After a period of significant change, we continue to work with and support our workforce through ambitious investment in technology, wellbeing and workforce development. We are therefore looking for someone who can work with a talented senior team to promote a culture of trust, innovation and high performance through our people and use of technology.
