The Fire Safety Advisor is an exciting new role within our Force, ensuring that technical fire advice is consistent across projects, providing a detailed understanding of Fire Safety Management, including the necessary legislation and associated technical guidance and providing support to our custodians who are responsible for premises within our Force area. 

You will lead and oversee all fire safety management and works across the South Wales Police property portfolio, including budget management, planning through to implementation and evaluation, cost analysis & risk management, assessing quality and performance of contractor’s work whilst adding value engineering.

Also assisting  in the development of internal policy and standards for fire safety to protect both our people and property, understanding the varied locations and conditions under which we operate, whilst keeping  staff and managers up to date with changes in legislation on fire safety and have proven experience of successfully carrying out programmes of fire safety and suitable and sufficient fire risk assessments/inspections.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
