The South Wales Police Apprentice programme is an excellent opportunity for you if you are wanting to develop your workplace skills alongside gaining an academic qualification.

Becoming part of #TeamSWP will offer you a unique learning experience where you will contribute to real life projects in a complex and diverse environment. We value individuality and encourage new ideas and creativity that will contribute to our success as a force and make a difference to society. We are looking for people with diverse skills and experiences who are innovative, driven, ambitious and above all, talented individuals who aspire to be our leaders of the future and wish to join our successful team.

Our apprenticeship programme is paid and is for a period of 12 – 18 months (dependent upon reaching the requirements for the qualification) starting in September 2023. It is a level 3 apprenticeship and you will be expected to complete a Level 3 qualification alongside your work with South Wales Police. You will be supported through the course by a tutor from the college and by your team in the workplace. At the end of the qualification, you will be able to apply for a permanent role within South Wales Police.

This is a development opportunity for an apprentice to provide day to day administrative support, project support, analytical and research duties for the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team while working with the South Wales Police Apprenticeship Programme.

The apprenticeship includes completion of the requirements of a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification in Business Administration.

Candidate must have up to date knowledge of IT packages i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
