Job Title: Camera Enforcement Officer (Motorcyclist), 

Post: Permanent One full time post and one part time post (18.5 hours, pro-rata).  

Based At: Full time post based in the Swansea/Neath area with frequent travel across the South Wales Policing area. 

Part time post based at Treforest, Pontypridd with frequent travel across the South Wales Policing area. 

Starting Salary: £21,135- £23,406 & plus enhancements (part time post pro-rata) 14% shift allowance & 12.5% weekend enhancement. 

Grade: SC4 

This advert is for one full-time position and one part time position within the GoSafe Casualty Reduction Unit, within South Wales Police. The Casualty Reduction Officer will detect speed, mobile phone, seatbelt and other associated driving offences at adopted GoSafe enforcement locations, via motorcycle. 

The full-time post holder will be based at a Swansea / Neath area police station but will be expected to frequently travel across the Force area and/or occasionally across regional Police boundaries. The post holder will work a set shift pattern, which will include weekend working. 

The part-time post holder will be based at Treforest, Pontypridd but will be expected to frequently travel across the Force area and/or occasionally across regional Police boundaries. The post holder will work a set shift pattern, which will include weekend working.

 A full UK driving licence must be held.

A full UK motorcycle licence must be held, with a minimum of 2 years riding experience. The post holder will be required to ride and manoeuvre a large capacity motorcycle approx. 250kg in weight.

Applicants will be required to attend a motorcycle assessment at the Driver Training Unit.

This post is not suitable for job share due to exigencies of the business .

The successful candidate must be prepared to undergo vetting to Recruitment Vetting (RV) level.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017 you must have completed 2 years’ tenured service before applying for any other roles.
