This post holder will manage the Specialist Crime accreditation projects to ensure the Force meets the requirements of the Forensic Science Regulator in line with ISO standards 15189 & 17025.  The role will require the successful applicant to supervise the Technical Leads and collaborate with stakeholders on a regional and national level to effectively coordinate the project schedule, manage project risks and plan & prepare strategic reports. 


The successful applicant will be responsible for the ISO 17025 accreditations of the Regional Cyber Crime Unit and Digital Forensic Cyber Crime Unit and ISO 15189 accreditation of Sexual Assault Referral Centres in Southern Wales, to ensure all these units, including Custody, comply with the Forensic Regulators Codes of Practice and Conduct.

This role is not suitable for part time/job share workers due to operational requirements.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.

Please be aware that if your current post is within the Public Service Centre, if you were employed after 1st February 2017 you must have completed 2 years’ tenured service before applying for any other roles.
