  • The Citizens in Policing Programme is a small programme delivering across South Wales, North Wales, Gwent & Dyfed-Powys Police to enhance the experience for children, young people and adults involved in volunteering. This includes cadet programmes, youth engagement and the special constabularies.
  • We mainly work either from an office near Bridgend or from home.
  • We work 9-5 Monday-Friday though do sometimes support activity on the weekend.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

  • The post holder will develop a framework for safeguarding children and young people who voluntarily engage with the police, aligned to the national Safe to Operate standards.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

Exceptional organisational and communication skills with a high level of self-motivation and enthusiasm to make a difference are important. You will work with colleagues across policing and partner agencies, with occasional travel outside of South Wales.
