We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as a Secretary to the Command Team in our Crime & Criminal Justice Business Support Unit. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

We are a small team based in The Kingsway, Bridgend providing administrative and secretarial assistance to the Crime & Criminal Justice Portfolio including the Covert Operations Management Unit, Force Intelligence, Organised Crime Unit, Economic and Cyber Crime Unit, Major Crime Investigation Team and Justice Services.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be an integral member of the Business Unit providing administrative and secretarial assistance to the Crime & Criminal Justice Command Team.   There will be a requirement to be flexible and attend locations other than the base in order to provide secretarial support.

You will be responsible for coordinating multiple diaries, the arrangement of meetings together with the preparation and circulation of the associated paperwork.  You will also attend and minute meetings via Teams and in person.

You will assist the Command Team with the management of their paperwork and any other general administration.  

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

  • You will have experience of working in a busy office environment and be able to meet competing deadlines under pressure.

 

  • You will be highly organised, have previous administrative/secretarial experience with a keen eye for detail. You must be able to manage fluctuating, varied confidential workloads and prioritise effectively.

 

  • You will be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.

 

The successful candidate will possess good communication skills with excellent spelling and grammar.

You must be an enthusiastic, personable individual who will work well as an individual but also as part of a team.

The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
