To support the Portfolio Lead, ACC Jenny Gilmer (South Wales Police) to develop CCTV investigation within policing.  You will be responsible for the overall coordination and running of the portfolio in line with the defined strategy.

The role involves representing the portfolio lead in a variety of environments including at relevant governance groups (national CCTV working group and National Intelligence portfolio meetings), attending multi-agency meetings and conferences. You will need to be able to work with minimal supervision and guidance, often in ambiguous and ‘political’ environments, and easily integrate and contribute across multiple teams and working groups at both strategic and operational levels, as required.

The role requires a high degree of self-organisation and self-initiative, innovation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to engage, influence and ‘win over’ a wide range of stakeholders and the ability to understand and advance the strategic objectives of the Programme, whilst recognising the concerns and perspectives of partner organisations.

The ability to engage with confidence, credibility and self-assurance with senior NPCC and other agency seniors is essential. This must be balanced with the ability to engage and gain buy-in from operational management and operational delivery counterparts. The programme will require a ‘hearts and minds’ approach to be successful, therefore ‘soft skills’ in terms of engagement, influencing, encouraging and motivating will be crucial. Experience of collaborative and/or partnership working and a good understanding of Project or Programme Management are desirable criterion. Candidates are encouraged to contact the below should they have any questions or queries regarding the role being advertised and the selection process involved:
