The Criminal Justice Board for Wales has an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing work and action to tackle race equality, treating colleagues and communities with dignity and respect, eliminating inappropriate behaviours across a pan Wales area.

We are seeking to appoint a Criminal Justice Race Equality Implementation Manager (All-Wales) who will be responsible for the promotion of good relations and positive experiences for racially minoritized groups who encounter the criminal justice system.  We are looking for someone who, under the direction of the Criminal Justice in Wales (CJIW) Race Equality Strategic Group, will play a key role in coordinating, managing and delivering the Criminal Justice in Wales Anti-Racism Plan. Critically the role will also build and maintain relationships and effective partnership working with Criminal Justice Organisations, Third Sector, Local Authorities and Welsh Government.

The successful applicant will be someone who can understand systematic racism and is able to assist and deliver strategic management and delivery of the Anti-Racism Plan.  The applicant must be comfortable with challenging partners in order to support and effect change.  They will be required to work with Chairs of the Criminal Justice in Wales Race Equality Strategic Group (and its task groups) to ensure that the vision to ensure racially minoritised people, including children and young people, are treated the same at all points of the criminal justice system, becomes a reality.

The position is pan-Wales, however, remote and agile working is in place, whilst occasional travel may be required beyond Wales.
