South Wales Police ICT Department are seeking to recruit a Principal Support Analyst to work within the Force’s Central Ticket Office, Treforest.

The successful candidate will be required to provide hands on day to day support and take a proactive approach in providing technical assistance in supporting bespoke end user platforms and ensuring the efficient operation of the department. Areas of work include servers and HOTA restricted operating systems and applications that integrate with the force computers and network.

The successful candidate should have an awareness and understanding of IT security best practices and be able to connect multiple systems via scripting and programming.  This is a development role working on established technological deliverables and the successful candidate should have the skills and abilities to enhance and develop these solutions further.  The individual must be conversant with HP PC hardware, Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, device management solutions and have excellent problems solving skills. Knowledge is also required of the various hardware, software, peripherals, and application delivery and support technologies used by the Force.

The successful candidate must be prepared to undergo vetting to SC / MV level.

A full manual driving license is essential for this role.
