 Description

South Wales Police is seeking a talented Technical Project Manager to join our established team of ICT professionals and contribute to our ongoing growth. As a Technical Project Manager based in our ICT Technical Programme Management Office, you will play a key role in delivering cutting-edge technical projects that align with our strategic policing vision and ultimately support the communities of South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and delivering key ICT projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work with an experienced team and make a real impact on the delivery of ICT services for South Wales Police.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Coordinate and lead project teams, including internal staff and external vendors
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues
  • Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards

 

Requirements:

  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Familiarity with Prince2 project management methodology.
  • Proven Project Management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Experience in managing project staff and profiling financial budgets.
  • A passion for delivering innovative solutions that support South Wales Police's mission
  • Demonstrate an awareness of current Health and Safety legislation and practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Where you’ll fit in:

The ICT Technical Project Manager sits in the Technical Programme Management Office and reports to the ICT Technical Programme Manager.
